Office of New Student & Family Programs
In support of Texas A&M University’s mission, the goal of the Office of New Student & Family Programs (NSFP) is to facilitate the success of new students through their first year at A&M, thereby, retaining them for their second year and through graduation. We achieve this goal by providing new students with the framework to adjust to the expectations, standards, academic rigors, and social community at Texas A&M University. Additionally, we recognize the important role that family members play in a student’s college success and strive to equip families with the resources to aid their student throughout their student’s college career.
New Student & Family Programs staff welcome new students and family members to Aggieland during the New Student Conferences. Staff bring together campus constituents to develop programs and create a comprehensive New Student Conference for each new student. The Office of New Student & Family Programs advises the Aggie Orientation Leaders and Aggie Parent & Family Ambassadors, coordinates New Student Conferences, Family Weekend, and Howdy Week, and produces publications such as the New Aggie News, the Virtual New Student Handbook, and the Aggie Family Calendar for incoming Aggies and their families.
