ASHLEY SOSA ’19
Former NSCs en Español Coordinator| Spanish major
First let me begin by welcoming all of you to the Aggie Family. Whether you are a first generation student (like me!) or you have sung the War Hymn as a nursery rhyme, you are all an essential part of our Aggie Family and we welcome you with open arms.
We are privileged to attend such an incredible institution and you should take pride in it. Your journey to get here was only the beginning, now it is up to you to take advantage of all the possibilities for growth and learning provided to you both inside and outside of the classroom.
A key piece of advice that has helped me make it through the many trials that are presented to us as college students is that “change is painful and pain is changeful”. You cannot predict what you will encounter during your time as a student at Texas A&M but the one thing you can be sure of is that your Aggie Family will be supporting you every step of the way and long after your time here as a student is over.
