Beyond Your NSC
Your transition to Texas A&M does not end with your NSC. Once you have registered for classes, here's a few things you'll want to do:
- Submit a photo for your Aggie ID Card at myaggiecard.tamu.edu.
- Update your local address and telephone number on howdy.tamu.edu
- Determine when your tuition and fee payment is due by visiting sbs.tamu.edu/resources/important-dates
- Finalize your plans for relocation to Bryan/College Station and Texas A&M University

Fall Admits
ExCEL
Excellence uniting Culture, Education, and Leadership (ExCEL) is a student organization and student success program designed to help new students find academic, social, and personal balance at Texas A&M. ExCEL has assisted thousands of students in making a smooth transition to college by orienting new students to the program through a conference during Howdy Week, cultivating relationships with peers and mentors, providing a sense of belonging through cultural engagement, offering academic support, and serving as a resource for transitioning into Aggie life.
Fish Camp
Note: Due to social distancing guidelines, Fish Camp will not take place at Lakeview Conference Center in Palestine, Texas, as previously planned. For updates and registration information for Fish Camp 2020, visit fishcamp.tamu.edu.
Fish Camp is an extended orientation program for incoming freshmen led by Texas A&M students who are passionate about making the first year of college a success. Learn about academic success centers on campus, major and career advice, and student resources available to you.
Howdy Week
Howdy Week is Aggieland's official welcome and takes place on campus before classes begin. Howdy Week events provide students with an opportunity to learn more about campus, each other, and college life in general through a series of educational and social events sponsored by University departments, colleges, registered student organizations, residence halls, and community members.
Hullabaloo U
Hullabaloo U is Texas A&M’s first year experience course. First year students will learn about Hullabaloo U during their NSC and select their desired opportunity during course registration. These courses are specifically designed to help new first year students make a successful transition to campus, both academically and personally.
Because it is a zero-credit course, there are no additional tuition or fees assessed; it is free for new students!
Venture Camps
Note: In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, Venture: Base Camp and Venture: Backpack programs will not be held as originally scheduled for July and August 2020. For updates, visit venturecamps.tamu.edu.
Venture Camps offers opportunities to jump start your college career at Texas A&M by sharing in exciting adventures with fellow new Aggies.
- Venture Camp: Base Camp is open to all incoming students and is the premiere outdoor extended orientation experience that takes place both on the Texas A&M main campus and in the Texas Hill Country. Base Camp is sure to provide you with many fun and exciting activities including camping, hiking, canoeing, rock climbing, team building activities, and so much more.
- Venture Camp: Backpacking is open to all incoming students and is the newest extended orientation program to be offered out of the Departments of Student Activities and Recreational Sports. Venture Camp: Backpacking is a 9-day program led by trip leaders from Outdoor Adventures who will guide incoming Aggies through the beautiful Gila Wilderness in New Mexico.
- Venture Camp: Veterans - Venture Camp: Veterans is currently in the process of being revamped. If you are an incoming student veteran who is interested in learning more about this program and what it is going to become, please feel free to reach out to the Veteran Resource and Support Center or email [email protected].

Howdy Camp is a three-day extended orientation program for all incoming students entering in the Spring that takes place at Trinity Pines in Trinity, Texas. It is led by Texas A&M students who are dedicated and passionate about making the transition process successful for each new Aggie.

T-Camp

T-Camp, or Transfer Camp, is a three-day extended orientation program that introduces transfer students to the many opportunities at Texas A&M and the long-standing traditions that embody the true meaning of being an Aggie. The camp gives transfer students the opportunity to meet fellow students and learn more about life at A&M.
