Due to ongoing concerns regarding COVID-19, January 2021 New Student Conferences (NSC) will be a fully virtual experience. At this time, we are planning for an in-person experience for Summer 2021 NSCs. However, this may change due to the evolving nature of COVID-19 impacts.
Families & Guests
Texas A&M University believes that the college experience represents a collaboration involving the student, the family of the student and the University. Although completion of a New Student Conference is required for students only, we invite you to participate in our NSC programs specifically designed for parents and family members. By participating, you will become informed about the University’s academic programs, policies, facilities and services.
For Virtual NSCs, you will be provided recorded sessions as well as several opportunities for live interaction with staff and student Orientation Leaders.
At in-person conferences, you will have the opportunity to meet faculty, staff, other family members and student Orientation Leaders. While all family members are welcome to attend, the conference activities are not designed for the enjoyment of younger children, so if possible, alternate arrangements are encouraged.
