Family & Guest Registration

Texas A&M University believes the college experience represents a collaboration involving the student, the family of the student and the university. Accompanying your student to the New Student Conference will provide you with valuable information that will help you support your student’s transition into the Texas A&M University community. One family member/guest registration is included in the freshman registration fee only. Additional guests can be registered in the Applicant Information System (AIS).

The family member conference registration includes materials for the conference, meals, facilities costs and staffing during the conference.

Students can register family members for a New Student Conference through the Applicant Information System (AIS) at applicant.tamu.edu.

The regular adult rate ($55) is available until 2 business days prior to the NSC, when registration will close and students will not have access to add/edit family members or guests in the AIS Portal. Summer Conferences

Refunds prior to May 15, 2022 are requested using the Applicant Information System – Contact Us – Ask a Question – Fee Question function. For freshmen students' guests, full refunds will be provided until the end of the business day on May 15, 2022. For transfer students' guests, full refunds will be provided until end of business on May 15, 2022 for summer entry, and until July 1, 2022 for fall entry.

Requests for refunds past the deadline should be emailed to nsfp@tamu.edu and include details regarding the need for a refund and documentation when applicable. Requests for refunds past the deadline will be handled on a case-by-case basis for extenuating/extreme circumstances.

Note: The freshman student registration fee includes one registered family member or guest. The student’s New Student Conference fee is non-refundable.

Payment Options

Conference charges are paid by credit or debit card only. No cash is accepted.

Conference Fee Deferral

If your student has qualified for and used a fee deferral with the Office of Admissions for New Student Conference fees, one adult family member per student will have their fee deferred; any additional family members will incur the conference charges as listed above.
