Online Orientation
Online Orientation is a series of modules that must be completed PRIOR to attending your New Student Conference. It is designed to help you become familiar with the tools and resources to be successful and to start facilitating the transition to Texas A&M. Online Orientation will take approximately 2 hours to complete and will cover topics such as course registration, scholarships, financial aid, health and safety, and living in Aggieland.

Frequently Asked Questions
No. Online Orientation provides a basic overview of information, preparing you for more detailed content shared at the in-person NSC format. Online Orientation must be completed two days prior to your NSC. A course registration hold (AO) has been placed on your account and you will not be able to register for classes at your NSC until it is complete.
Online Orientation will be available for students entering Texas A&M in Summer or Fall beginning in mid-May, and for students entering in Spring beginning in mid-December. Students will receive an email once they may begin completing Online Orientation.
Once available, there will be a button on this page that will direct you to Online Orientation.
Online Orientation will cover:
- Academics & Course Registration reviews important academic information including meeting with your academic advisor, graduation requirements, and how to navigate Aggie Schedule Builder.
- Financial Matters reviews tuition rates, scholarships, and financial aid processes.
- Your New Home in Aggieland reviews basics like living on- or off-campus, Transportation Services, and dining on campus.
- Health and Safety reviews important “out of the classroom” resources like Code Maroon, University Police, and relationships.
- Preparing for Your NSC includes information to help you prepare for your in-person New Student Conference and what to expect.
- Next Steps reviews additional information that will help ensure the smoothest NSC experience possible. It also includes information for special populations like Veterans, Veteran Dependents, and International Students.
Yes, all incoming students must complete Online Orientation. A course registration hold (AO) has been placed on your account, meaning you will not be able to register for classes until you complete Online Orientation. No exceptions will be made.
Yes. Both are required to register for courses and attend Texas A&M.
No. Your progress will be saved as you go along and you can access where you left off at any time.

On average, students take about two hours to complete the modules. However, you may choose to stop and complete steps that are reviewed in the modules or take a break. Online Orientation will save your progress so you can pick up where you left off.
