During your NSC, you will meet with your academic unit for important advising and orientation. When this happens depends on your conference format:

1-Day Conferences: You will meet with your academic unit in the afternoon of your conference.

2-Day Conferences: You will meet with your academic unit on Day 2, beginning with a Dean’s meeting.
Your academic unit will provide detailed instructions and schedules. You should receive communication from them no later than 5 p.m. the business day before your NSC. Refer to that communication for the most up-to-date information.

During the afternoon portion of your New Student Conference, students will be separated by college to participate in college block sessions at various campus locations. Lunch assignments are divided between The Commons and Sbisa Dining Hall, and you’ll find your designated lunch site in the table below. After lunch, students and their families who are eating in The Commons will take a provided shuttle to their college block, while those dining in Sbisa will walk, guided by our orientation leaders. Each college will meet in a unique location, and the College of Arts & Sciences will divide students by major. Please note that some colleges welcome families to participate in college block sessions, while others do not. For your comfort, a Family Lounge will be available in MSC 2300A&B from 2–4 pm, where families can relax or connect with Aggie Parent and Family Advisory Council members and staff.
Your college will release you after course registration, completing your NSC experience. You can either walk back to West Campus Garage from your college location or hop on the Aggie Spirit Bus.
