The NSC is a collaborative effort between campus departments to prepare you for course registration and to be a student at Texas A&M. Below is a sample schedule of the NSC. Times and locations are subject to change. Make sure that you are checking your Texas A&M Gmail for any updates.
Both days of the NSC are required and mandatory in order to register for classes at Texas A&M. Day 1 will start at 8:30 a.m. and end around 5 p.m. Day 2 will start at 8:30 a.m. unless the college/school communicates differently with the student's academic college and ends around 5 p.m. Review the list of Day 2 locations to find your morning meeting location for Day 2 of the NSC. Please refer to the Sample Schedule below for a detailed overview of Day 1 of the NSC.
During Breakout Sessions you will have the opportunity to explore sessions that cover different areas of interest. You can find a list of breakout sessions and locations at tx.ag/NSCBreakout. To sign up for breakout sessions for your conference, visit your Applicant Portal at applicant.tamu.edu.
In addition to the Military Student Session of the New Student Conference, incoming Aggie Veterans (including all current service members and veterans) must attend Vet Camp. This dedicated, Aggie Veteran-only experience is designed to help with the unique transitional needs of Aggie Veterans. These students will receive additional communication about Vet Camp from the Veteran Resource and Support Center. More information about services for military-affiliated students can be found at newaggie.tamu.edu/veteran.
