Getting ready for course registration is an important part of the pre-NSC preparation process. However, there are a few logistical tasks you will want to take care of before arriving for your NSC. Below we have information for parking, guest registration, and overnight accommodations. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to our office at 979.845.5826 or [email protected].
Guest Registration
Texas A&M University believes the college experience represents a collaboration involving the student, the family of the student and the university. Accompanying your student to the New Student Conference will provide you with valuable information that will help you support your student’s transition into the Texas A&M University community. One family member/guest registration is included in the freshman registration fee ONLY. Additional guests can be registered in the Applicant Information System (AIS). Guest registration is NOT included in the transfer registration fee but guests can be registered through AIS.
The family member conference registration includes materials for the conference, meals, facilities costs and staffing during the conference. Guests should be registered at least 2 business days before your NSC.
Students can register family members for a New Student Conference through the Applicant Information System (AIS) at applicant.tamu.edu. For more information on Family and Guest Registration, visit our Family and Guest Registration page.

Parking
*Please note: During NSC registration, you are required to enter a license plate number to ensure you receive your NSC parking permit. Texas A&M has transitioned to virtual parking permits, making your license plate your official parking permit. If you will be renting a car or do not know the vehicle you will be using, you are still required to enter a license plate during registration to receive your assignment. You must do this at least 3 business days before your NSC in order to utilize your NSC parking permit. You may log into the NSC portal and change the license plate up to 3 business days before your conference. After that, you may log into your account on transport.tamu.edu to change the license plate. For additional questions, contact Transportation Services at [email protected] or (979) 862-7275. The most convenient NSC parking permit location to check in is the West Campus Garage (Address: 201 John Kimbrough Blvd, College Station, TX 77840).
